Dental scaling and polishing are recommended to be performed once or twice a year to clean external and internal surface stains and to improve your oral health. The external stains occur as a layer of staining agent is coated on the surface of the tooth or fillings, it could be caused by the consumption of coffee, tea, fruit juices and related tobacco use. Moreover, the internal stain occurs when the staining agent penetrates deep into the structure of the tooth. These stains can be removed by routine scaling and polishing.
Our full mouth scaling and polishing is a non-surgical treatment done by the ultrasonic tool. It helps get rid of plaque, tartar, and bacterial toxins and involves cleaning the areas of the tooth below the gum line. This helps to keep your teeth and gums healthy, preventing gum disease and bad breath. After completing with scaling, we will then polish your teeth with a polishing paste and a rotating rubber cup to improve the appearance of your teeth and remove bacteria.
Alternatively, we do offer airflow polish treatment for preferences. The air-polishing procedure is work by applying a high-powered combination of compressed air, water, and fine powder particles to clean the teeth and gums of stains and dental plaque. It is a system that has been designed to deep clean the teeth and gums. You will leave us with pearly-whites smooth and clean teeth and looking forward to the next appointment.
